‘Slow it down’

Changes are inevitable, the world keeps turning and life keeps going on, and on, and on, and on… And at one point you might realise you’ve been moving too fast without realising it, going too fast for your own good. You might be at the point in which you should take a step backwards, breathe deep and slow it down.

‘Goodbye my lover’

Sometimes a song keeps popping up everywhere you go, at the radio, in the train, at TV and on you random-mode iPod. And, if you’re lucky, it’ll be a song you like.

‘Glory’ (Bastille)

I discovered Bastille as I have discovered most of my favourite groups, by chance and -in this case- thanks to a trailer for a film. Both of their albums are great(their latest release is awesome) and then they even better themselves making different versions of their songs. And I’m in love.

‘Into the West’

Yesterday I came back home after work to find some friends finishing The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King movie. I arrived just in time to see Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin departing to the Gray Havens. Of the many virtues the LOTR films have, the soundtrack is probably one of the strongest.

I have a deep, ever-growing, non-apologetic love for J. R. R. Tolkien and his enormous work. Every time I go back to Middle-Earth I feel like I’m meeting old friends,  like I’m somehow going back home
